Terms of Payment

ExpressionWorks requires a deposit of 50% before beginning a writing project. Once the project has been completed and approved by the client, the remaining 50% will be invoiced. Payment for this invoice is due within 7 days unless other arrangements have been made. If payment is not received in a timely manner, the client will be liable for any collection costs incurred.

Rush Fees

ExpressionWorks will provide an estimate of project delivery at the commencement of a project. If the client deems that faster turnaround time is necessary, ExpressionWorks may charge a “rush” fee. The client will be notified of this fee prior to the start of work on a project.

Copyright

ExpressionWorks will retain the copyright for all projects until payment has been received in full. Upon complete payment, copyright for all materials will be transferred to the client. ExpressionWorks retains the right to use any completed project in our portfolio.

Revisions

Up to two sets of revisions are included with each copywriting project unless they are based in a change of project scope or assignment. All revisions must be requested in writing within 30 days of receipt of the first draft of the project copy.

Limitation of Liability

By agreeing to hire ExpressionWorks, the client also agrees to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses relating to services provided by us. ExpressionWorks shall not be liable for any loss related to a delay in delivery of services.

Termination of Agreement

If the client cancels a project after work on that project has begun, the client will be subject to a “kill” fee proportional to the percentage of the project that has been completed.
